Jarvis gets a new friend

Jarvis and Bob

Anyone that follows us on social media will know Jarvis's story. We took Jarvis on from a trekking Farm that took Jarvis in as part of a new herd, but found he was too old for trekking at 15 years old and hasn't had the best life care which is evident from his poor condition. Vets took biopsy's of his lumps and bumps and found that its nothing cancerous and prescribed medicated shampoo and a good alpaca diet with plenty of vitamins. Jarvis due to his condition and extra needs moved in with our elderly and disabled sheep, where he was happy but we felt he needed his own kind. We were thrilled when the farm that we took Jarvis from asked us to take dear Bob who was another Alpaca in poor condition and could not gain weight. The vets could not find anything wrong so we put it down to poor diet. A few weeks after Bob arrived he started to randomly fall over. The morning the vets were booked in to see him we found this dear sweet boy dead! We only knew him for a few weeks but he stole our hearts and left us heartbroken.

Jarvis meets new friend Charlie

Jarvis was withdrawn and quiet over the next few days so we reached out to the farm to ask if they would consider finding a friend for Jarvy.

We were thrilled when they agreed we could take on Charlie who makes poor old Jarvis look tiny! Charlie is ten years old and a real sweetheart. This beautiful family will be moving into the cows old paddock once we have received a shelter!
